On the 23^rd of August a Project Closing Event was held in Kuldiga Youth House to sum up all the implemented activities and achieved results with participation of the youth who had taken part in the project activities, involved experts, youth workers, representatives from partner organisations and mass media.

The youth proudly and happily presented the CD recorded in the last camp in Kuldiga as well as the video they had made in the classes. It was surely a culmination of the project.

The experts who were involved in the camps in Kuldiga presented a methodical material which is now publicly available in Latvian and English. The methodical material has been developed in cooperation with experts from different fields – a youth specialist, an outdoor activity specialist, a clinical psychologist, a social worker and two music educators. Each expert has developed a lesson plan with a specific topic, tasks, goals to be achieved, worksheets, etc. Lesson plans can be used by anyone interested in youth work – school teachers, class teachers, youth workers, social educators, etc.

This project has proved that our youngsters are very responsive and creative if only there is somebody who is helping and motivating them, so it was worth implementing all the project activities to give them a chance to improve their skills, to learn something new, to make new friends, to get out of their comfort zone and to create.

The Project Closing Event was organized under the frame of the project LLI-282 “Social inclusion and youth empowerment in Panevezys and Kuldiga”.
